Why publish an anthology on internet art, first time around, in Danish? And why now ”publish” it as podcast? The answer to the first question is quite simply to distribute knowledge of, and stimulate a discussion about, a phenomenon which we at Artnode consider relevant for art now. The answer to the second question is just as simple, namely that Artnode has always been about translations from one medium to another, or others, and about investigating the possibilities that such translations offer. The space is thereby a catalyst for experimental and space-specific art, as well as performance and avant-garde sound and music productions, which has enabled Spanien 19C to show new and challenging productions, before they appear in the established art world. The exhibition space presents a challenge, demanding that the artist identify him-/herself with the space, and be new and contemporary.
