Sujan Dangol, Kathmandu
Sujan Dangol is part of Art Lab #2 which focuses on manufacturing and production. The Participants at Art Lab #2 will take over the baton from the previous team by developing further on their results, experiences and impressions. The process will undfold as a long studio-visit at The Factory of Art and Design in the Sundholm neighborhood. Sujan Dangol has been appointed with the baton by Nischal Oli curator and participant of Art Lab 1#. Sujan Dangol will create a site-specific work for Alt_Cph16 Crosscuts.
About Sujan Dangol
Sujan Dangol is a Nepalese artist and part of the Art Collective Guthi, based in Kathmandu. Sajun Dangol works with different artistic practises such as painting, sculpture, video, happenings and social interventions. Sujan Dangol focuses on participatory projects such as the project Book Bus, where Sujan Dangol and a small group of other artists drove around rural regions of Nepal with the aim of fulfilling art education in remote schools and communities. Thematically, Sujan Dangol works with climate changes, production from waste, sustainable culture, utopian societies and alternative spaces.
