The success continues, and this year Copenhagen's alternative fair, alt_cph, opens on 21st September.

This year alt_cph can present a diverse international crowd of experimenting project spaces and non-profit organizations. alt_cph is not only about communicating and promoting individual organizations, but also about promoting a milieu. alt_cph wishes to high-light the contemporary art-scene that resides in alternative regions and spaces. It is important to show Copenhagen and the international art scene how imperative contemporary art's role is in society.

The motivation and the idea behind alt_cph have been to draw attention to the alternative activities that don't focus only on the commercial aspects of the art scene.

The initiative has proved successful because this year 26 project spaces, galleries, bureaus and magazines have been invited, and we are priviledged to have them coming from places like Slovenia, Germany, Sweden and Norway. The experimenting art scene has shown a great interest and energy.

The fair will take place at the Factory for Art and Design on Sundholmsvej 46, in Amager from 21st to 23rd September.
